Alan Hinkes OBE, a mountaineer

"It develops innate resilience in young people. Those who participant in the Award generally remember their experiences throughout their life."

Kevin Ruth, Executive Director of European Council of International Schools

"I decided to support The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award because it promotes growth of individual students over time – precisely the kind of measure that matters in the world. When we are caught up in the quest for static data points about learning, the International Award celebrates that which is learning."

Matthew Blythe, Director at Palette Events

"I decided to support The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award because of its broad reach and valuable work with youngsters from so many varied backgrounds, offering life-changing opportunities."
