The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Lietuva
The Award, which previously was called 'The International Award for Young People', was officially launched in October 2006, during the visit of Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth‘s II and Prince Philip's in Lithuania. At that time the Award was coordinated by the Agency of International Youth Cooperation. In 2014 the Lithuanian Children and Youth Centre, operating under the Ministry of Education took on the role of National Award Coordintor. Since then the Award has been re-branded into 'The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Lietuva'. The vast majority of the groups doing the Award are state schools. There are 67 organisations delivering the Award in the country in 2018.
