The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, Czech Republic
The Award was established in the Czech Republic in 1995 and has since been implemented in various institutions across the country. It is now available at top-rated secondary schools as well as in institutions for youth offenders and continues to grow.
The Award in the Czech Republic has many celebrity supporters including inspiring travellers, Jakub Vágner, star of the TV show Fish Warrior, and Dan Přibáň, who crossed three continents in his yellow Trabant. In 2016 the Czech Republic had 1343 new participants and 531 participants gained their Awards.
