Initiative Award Africa
initiative: Award Africa (iAA) is a project which aims to create a fund to sustain and develop the Award throughout Africa, extending its benefits to those young people who need it the most. It was launched in 2006 and will run until the end of 2008.
Helping Young Africans to Help Themselves
There are currently over 125,000 Award participants in Africa. Many of their stories reflect the way in which the Award is changing young African lives. To enable this work to continue, and to make the Award available to more young people who want a better future for themselves and their countries, iAA is seeking sponsorship for particpants.
“Young people are our future. Developing them to their full potential is a top priority. One practical way to develop this huge reservoir of talent is through participation in the Award.”
Nelson Mandela, Patron, The President’s Award, South Africa
How Can You Help?
Each young participant needs sponsorship of £100 per year for three years. £1000 will sponsor 10 young participants for one year. £3000 will sponsor ten completed Awards.
