National Award Authorities (NAAs)

A National Award Authority (NAA) is the body responsible for the operation of the Award within a particular country. There can only be one NAA in each country – there are currently 60. Every NAA is part of one of our four regions, and is supported by a regional office.

National Award Authorities are members of the International Award Association. As such they are governed by the IAA constitution, and meet every three years as part of the International Forum.

NAAs can be non-governmental bodies, ministry bodies or a mixture of both. All NAAs will have a national office and director who can advise you on how to get involved in the Award in that country.
